3 Game-Changing Tips to Make Your Blonde Hair Last Longer!

It can take years to get to the right shade of blonde, especially if you're shifting away from warm to more cool tones. It's heartbreaking to watch our coloUr fade with all the time and investment that goes into our beautiful locks.

To make your blonde hair last longer, I like to share a few suggestions with my clients for at-home care that looks and feels like you just left the salon weeks between visits. Blondes are higher maintenance, but if you are ready to invest, it's so rewarding.

Tip #1: Invest in Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner (Purple Shampoo)

High-quality toning shampoos help keep unwanted brassy tones from forming in the hair. Use them once a week, and this will keep your hair toned in-between visits. It is important to remember not to overuse these products, or you may brighten the hair too much.

Tip #2: Deep Condition EVERY WEEK

Lightened hair has been slightly compromised and requires nourishment. Prevent the locks from becoming dry with deep conditioning masks and treatments. Professional treatments are also highly recommended at your hair salon appointments.

Tip #3: Leave-in Conditioner with UV Protection

Before every blow dry and even everyday maintenance, I recommend using a leave-in conditioner that leaves the hair hydrated from roots to ends. Apply straight out of the shower/bath and blend through with a wide-tooth comb or wet brush before styling. A suggestion would be our Cedarwood Leave-In Conditioner from Redavid. It's great for all hair types and protects hair from punishing environments.

Being blonde is fun, but it is also an investment. If you're willing to take steps to keep your locks beautiful and shiny, it's worth it! The healthier the condition of your hair, the better your colour will look.
